Create a cosy and sheltered spot in your garden. A pergola, summerhouse or garden building, or just a discrete canopy can make summer or winter so much nicer. A garden building can be constructed by carpenter F A Ingram in the Chelmsford, Billericay and Brentwood areas.
Felt tiles, cedar shingles, and even slate can cover the roof. The walls can be constructed of trellis, feather-edge or left open. Alternatively, if you have a wonderful idea, let me know.
An open summer shelter nestled in a corner of your garden will make the ideal Al-fresco dining area. The floor can be made from slabs or decking, an electrician can fit lighting, or why not go diy with solar.
Constructed from strong, treated materials, in time you can enjoy trailing plants close-to and over your summerhouse or garden building. They can be as small as a two-seat shelter or the size of a large shed.
As in these pictures, the building can be left as natural timber or treated with fence and shed preservative. Exterior paint can also be an effective way to create a clean and attractive summerhouse.
